All that remains of a sunken and nameless continent, the Southern Archipelagos are a myriad of islands in the Razoukan Ocean that were once the tall, wondrous mountain peaks of the continent. Some are so small that even a rowing boat would be hard pressed to berth at them while others are large enough to sustain whole cities or sprawling jungles. The islands are grouped around the equator, the northern most islands enjoying warm, temperate climates while the southern islands are cold, harsh places, and between them lies areas of tropical seasons and beauty.
Many of the Islands are uninhabited or uncharted making them perfect headquarters or lay overs for pirates. The crisscrossing medley of trade routes presents them with easy pickings and piracy is rampant in the Archipelagos. Some are ruled over by Kings and Queens, presiding over their Island from their capitol city. Some, like The Orient Isles and The Labyrinthine Isles are whole strings of Islands governed like a small empire.
